What we offer

There are various complex cases regarding change or extension of residency status, requiring different solutions for different people. If you have any concerns or questions about extensions of stay or changes in status of residence, Accept International can also provide consultation services.
We will ask you about your daily situation and problems, including VISA, household finances, and family life, which will allow us to offer you suggestions and advice on, for example, what programs you should apply for and which specialists you should consult for the procedure.

On August 4, 2023, the government announced its policy to grant “special permission to stay” to foreign children under the age of 18 who were born in Japan but do not have resident status if certain conditions are met.

With your Individual Number, you can apply for residency procedures online. This service is available for all statuses of residence except “Diplomacy” and “Temporary Visitor”.

1. Foreign Residents Information Center

The Immigration Services Agency has established the Foreign Residents Information Center to receive inquiries about immigration and residence procedures. These centers are located at regional immigration bureaus and district offices.
Multilingual support is available for inquiries by phone, at the counter, and by email.

2. Foreign Residents Support Center (FRESC)

This is the government’s office that assists foreign residents who live and work in Japan.
Consultation on various matters related to foreign residents is available. Consultation is available not only for individual foreign residents, but also for individuals and companies involved with foreign residents.

An appointment is required for consultation!
When making an appointment, FRESC will ask you the following questions, which you should be able to answer :
(1) Preferred visit date
(2) Your name (you may withhold your name)
(3) Number of visitors
(4) Your phone number or e-mail address
(5) Whether you speak Japanese or not
(6) What you would like to discuss with the Immigration Services Agency
